PLANTS, PLANETS, THE SUN AND BLUE SKIES

At the end of February, we will move to the Villa Heike in Berlin to present an exhibition inspired by the work of the outstanding Wrocław artist Zdzisław Jurkiewicz.

“Plants, Planets, the Sun, and Blue Skies” is an exhibition by the duo kinoMANUAL, combining light and sound, the vastness of space, with the intimacy of home. Aga Jarząb and Maciej Bączyk draw on Jurkiewicz’s work and—inspired by his way of seeing—envelop visions of planets, the sun, and the blue sky, intertwining them with the everyday. The gazes of all three intersect in careful observation, turning to the sky and to what grows indoors—the plants present in our homes.

The exhibition opening will take place on Friday, February 27th, at 7:00 PM, and an artist talk is scheduled for the following day at 4:00 PM, moderated by Anna Mituś from the Polish Institute in Berlin.

The exhibition will be open until March 8th, and admission is free.
