Statement of the director of the OKiS in Wrocław

Ladies and Gentlemen,

in connection with the announced flood alarm in Wrocław, the serious flood situation in Lower Silesia and in the interests of our common safety, I have made the difficult decision to cancel all events and cultural activities co-organized by the OKiS in Wrocław, planned in our region from 17 to 22 September, including:

Janusz Cedro’s Most Beautiful Songs Concert in Bolesławiec,
3. KWADRY – Karkonosze Night of the Electronic Avant-Garde in Szklarska Poręba,
“Creative Mornings” meeting in the FOTO-GEN Gallery in Wrocław

Polish Cello Quartet concerts as part of the “With Classics Through Poland” series in Kudowa-Zdrój, Stronie Śląskie and Duszniki-Zdrój.
I am deeply moved by the enormous losses in the areas affected by the flood and I wish us all a lot of strength in the fight against the unpredictable element and its effects.
